On Thursday the 31st of October, the students of the Third Class celebrated “Halloween”. After the students got some general information about what exactly this celebration is, they enjoyed themselves doing activities relevant to it. At the end of our little celebration, the students did crafts listening to Halloween songs.
On Thursday the 28th of November, the students of D’ Class celebrated Thanksgiving Day. Through reading and processing a text, they learned about the importance of the specific celebration and about the first time it was celebrated in the United States. Then, after they exchanged knowledge of History, they were taught, through certain exercises, vocabulary relevant to this day.
CHRISTMAS TEATIME PARTY
Kindergarteners had a special chance to get to know the British culture through fun experiential learning. They were invited by their English teacher to a British Teatime party and they enjoyed lots of sweets, cup cakes, biscuits and left with little Christmas gifts!
B Class – “Getting to know England”
On Tuesday the 21st of January, the students of B Class “got to know” England through the pages of a book adjusted to their age and knowledge. The students received basic information about the country: where it is located, its capital, the political system, the currency, the citizens’ everyday habits and expressions as well as some cultural elements. It was both an enjoyable and constructive procedure.
